NJT8318U Series – Universal Ku-band 8W BUC
An 8W Ku-band block up-converter for the universal 13.75-14.5 GHz band, powered from the IF connector with no monitor-and-control interface on this base variant.
The NJT8318U block up-converter serves the universal Ku-band (13.75 to 14.5 GHz), delivering up to 8W (+39 dBm P1dB) from a 950-1,700 MHz IF input mixed against a 12.8 GHz LO. It is housed in a weatherized, forced-air-cooled, IP67-rated enclosure with an operating guarantee extending to +75 ℃ (performance guaranteed to +55 ℃). Typical ACPR is -28 dBc max at +38 dBm output, and it draws about 79W typical at P1dB from a +18 to +60 VDC supply (with an AC power option). This UN variant is powered from the IF connector and has no monitor-and-control interface; the series also offers FSK and RS-232C M&C variants, some with MS-connector or AC/DC PSU power. It weighs 2.4 kg, includes an LED indicator, and is RoHS compliant.
